He also reported that the association has acquired a storage unit at a cost of $30 a month. Owner Russ Cornford rented it to us at half price. We also have a new mailing address, P.O. box 142.
Beth Hanson shared a video from Save Your.Town.com about planning events and getting more involvement.
We discussed upcoming bingo dates, which are now going to be monthly. They will take place on the second Thursday of every month starting in October 2019 through September 2020. We are an adding progressive bingo game at the end of each time. Geoff Lenser is going to call the state and get the specific information for running progressive bingo and we will go over it at the October meeting. We also discussed eventually forming 2 committees to alternate the bingo events. Paul Nelson talked to the group about his role in bingo in the past and that he is planning to transition out of his role. He will help educate us as to how to run bingo and help when he can. He has been involved for about 12 years and we thank him for his service. We are adding progressive bingo as a way to raise more money for community projects and create a cooperative advertising budget for 2020.
Coon Valley Dairy Supply has applied to be in the October Fest parade, September 28th. If they are accepted, they will pull the business association’s float in the parade. Anyone that wants to walk in the parade is welcome. I will email everyone as soon as we know.
We also discussed creating a holiday event in conjunction with Small Business Saturday on November 30th. Beth Hanson and Paige Welch will chair the committee. We welcome any ideas for this event.
We discussed forming a budget committee for 2020. Carol Olson and Beth Hanson, as treasurers, will be on the committee as well as Nancy Wedwick. We would like a couple more members to join this committee. Please contact one of the officers if you would be interested.
Geoff gave a brief CCCR report. The budget is almost complete. We are still getting invoices in the mail. It should be complete by the next meeting.
Our next meeting is October 7th at the Skybox at 5:15.

Please report any changes to the minutes.
