Coon Creek Fishery Area
Coon Creek, Bohemian Valley Creek, Timber Coulee Creek, Spring Coulee Creek, and Rulland Creek are all class 1 trout streams within a few minutes’ drive of downtown Coon Valley. The Coon Creek Fishery Area is managed to protect the public trust, enhance coldwater fishery (game and non-game), and provide outdoor recreational opportunities, most notably fishing but also trapping, hunting, and wildlife viewing.
Coon Valley Veterans Memorial Park
A 10-acre park on the north side of Coon Valley, Veterans Memorial Park is notable for its mile-long paved walking path alongside Coon Creek, dotted with 12 handicap-accessible fishing pads. These fishing pads are unique to the area, and draw many anglers of all abilities. The park also contains the town’s baseball diamond, several picnic areas, and playground equipment.
